If you are anywhere near London Ont. these next 3 days make a short trip NW of the city to the "Quilts of the Netherlands" in Ailsa Craig. Breathtaking! The Ailsa Craig Community Quilt Festival committee has worked tirelessly to bring these outstanding fibre works to Ontario. Every aspect of the show has been carefully thought out - from the hanging of the quilts to best advantage, to "crowd control" at the deservedly popular cafe on site. Classes have been held all week with Dutch teachers, and lovers of Dutch chintz have an opportunity to shop. Proceeds of this not-for-profit event are being channeled back into the community through various social agencies.

If you do miss this year's event make sure to mark your calendar for next year - the show will be held the first week of May 2012.
