Unexpected gift

Posted by cottonmillthreadworks on Monday, August 29th, 2011

You never know upon waking where the day will take you, or what you might encounter. So it was a very unexpected gift to have the opportunity to see these while at the Gwillimbury Guild quilt show this weekend:

Gossamer-light, petals moving with the slightest whisper of a breeze, these silk flowers were made at the House of Legeron,  Parisian artificial flower makers since 1880. My fellow-merchant Jane of Dye-Version kindly brought them in and shared her knowledge with us.

Thank you, Jane!
