What I did on my summer vacation, part 2

The second dyeing workshop that I attended in Latvia this summer took place deep in the country:
past fields of rye
where our hostess Vineta and her family live on an old farm.
All we had of these cakes is this photo - the clever dogs waited till we were busy dyeing and then made their move!
Trampolines make great tables on which to work!
Household products were found with which to discharge dye:

and the barn was a treasure trove of rusty bits for some rust dyeing:


Once someone has been volunteered for the heavy work

then everyone joins in the fun of rinsing out and seeing the results:
A beautiful summer's day. If I close my eyes I can still hear the bees buzzing in the scented linden trees...
